DSPs for Music at Toronto

Document Thumbnail

The experience of our group in performing real-time music synthesis and audio signal processing with multiprocessor DSPs is described. The necessary combination of low system cost, flexibility, high signal quality, and natural user interface make music a challenging application. The paper will describe our current and planned DSP interconnection hardware and signal processing software. The relative importance (for music) of DSP features will be discussed, with special emphasis on interprocessor communication.
