Higher Order One Bit Coder for Audio Applications

Document Thumbnail

One-bit coding increases its importance in digital audio. This paper deals with some properties of one-bit coding. Results are obtained from real-time digital implementations of a second-order and a third-order coder. Special attention is paid to artifacts that could not be measured. Low-level in-band dither could suppress the effect of these unwanted effects.
