In this paper, an overview will be given of some simulation techniques for loudspeakers using available software packages on PCs. Special attention will be paid to the loudspeaker description with the aid of state variable techniques. The simulation of the loudspeaker behavior using matrix calculations and using block modeling will be discussed. Some simulation examples will be given and will be compared to measurements and known results from literature. Nonlinear behavior will be discussed using block modeling.
