In order to support the acoustical consulting of the newly built concert halls in Paris (Les Halles), The Hague (Netherlands), and Enschede (Netherlands), a scale model technique was applied. 1:16 models were used to study the acoustical conditions in the audience area as well as o the stage. The two-port TDS technique was used (in scale model as well as in real halls), obtaining Energy Time Curves, and using a specially developed omnidirectional sound source. The use of a scale model in the choice between alternatives is illustrated.
