Artificial reverberation quality may be described by many objective parameters the nature and number of which is generally not known. Only some of these parameters, e.g. frequency band, initial time gap, reverberation time, and a few others, directly influencing subjective assessments, can be well defined. Therefore, subjective test procedures should be used for comparing reverberator programs respective to their quality. Subjective test methods for assessing artificial reverberation quality are discussed and their applications considered. An example of the applied tests is described and its results presented.
