A Digital Audio Recorder and Electronic Editing System has been developed for use by the Location Recording Department of the Decca Record Company. It has now been in regular use for over a year, producing over 500 hours of session recordings together with many hours of editing and disc outting experience. The paper describes some of the technical and operational factors which have contributed to the present design.
