This paper describes the digitalization of conventional analog filters of the sort used for recording such as tone controllers, the RIAA characteristic filter, multi-way limiters, and graphic equalizers. The transfer function of these digital filters are expressed explicitly as the z transform. The requirement of the word length of the digital filter for avoiding overflow and coefficients truncation errors is also discussed.
