Super Linear Circuit

Document Thumbnail

Because the bipolar and field-effects transistors used in modern audio amplifiers have inherent nonlinearities, the use of negative feedback loops to improve the overall circuit linearity has been inevitable. The super linear circuit (SLC) has been developed to provide low distortion without the use of negative feedback loops. SLC employs a current mirror circuitry which cancels transistor nonlinearities. A new audio amplifier can be developed using SLC operating principles with none of the detrimental effects of feedback loops.
