Subtractive synthesis has proven through use to be a highly efficient method for sound production. Yet many have described the sonic results as 'cold and lifeless.' This is particularly true when a synthesizer is employed to simulate a known acoustical instrument. This paper describes a device which overcomes the aforementioned problem but also produces a number of unique side effects as well.
