The Audio and Electroacoustics Committee of the Institute of Radio Engineers is one of twenty-six standing. This committee is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of standard definitions and standards covering methods of measurements in the following categories: complete systems for processing audio-frequency waves and waves derived from acoustic energy; components such as electroacoustic transducers, amplifiers, networks and transformers; and, environmental factors such as architectural acoustics, vibration and noise.
