The recent development of amplified electronic telephone sets permits the realization of new transducers. These replace the old types, with better performances such as reliability, size, and quality. Furthermore, the use of the same transducer both as a microphone and a receiver saves production and maintenance costs. In the present paper a central armature electromagnetic miniature transducer is shown. The first part is concerned with the calculation of the electromechanic driving system. In the last one the computer-aided acoustic equalization method is described. An experimental small-size prototype transducer so designed reveals consistent agreement with the mathematical mode.
