Lock-In Voltmeter Capabilities for Very Low-Level Measurements

Document Thumbnail

Synchronous detection techniques are used when the background noise disturbs the amplitude or phase measurements of AC low-level signals. The Lock-in Voltmeter is based on the correlation between the noisy signal and a reference free of noise; it allows to retrieve sinusoidal signals and displays magnitude and phase angle or real and imaginary components. The applications are the same as those of Voltmeters and Phasemeters, but for signals in extremely noisy environments.
