A Microprocessor Based Sequencer for Voltage Controlled Electronic Music Synthesizers

Document Thumbnail

A system is described which incorporates a low cost microprocessor, computer terminal input and digital to analog converter outputs. The microprocessor interacts with the input device on an English language command/response basis to build a sequence of parameter data for the control of three independant voices. Each of the voices is described by a frequency and duration pair. These pairs are output as a DC voltage for control of a voltage controlled oscillator and a trigger for gating an envelope generator.
