The problems of frequency response, portability, projection pattern, efficieny, and the overall sound of bass reinforcement enclosures have always been met with limited success. The Karlson-Hypex ( a modified Karlson), combines smaller size, higher efficiency, flatter frequency response, and a tighter projection pattern relative to conventional bass enclosures. The quality of sound in large reinforcement bass enclosures is equally important. The prototype Karlson-Hypex enclosures with two 15-in speakers provide a sound that closely resembles that of a vented enclosure.
