Grounding and Shielding Techniques for Portable Concept Reinforcement Systems

Document Thumbnail

This paper contains a detailed analysis of proper grounding and shielding methods for the attenuation of 50/60 Hz -hum-, noise RFI, and other spurious signals in modern reinforcement systems. Topics and techniques covered are: safety parameters; finding a good earth ground; a.c. isolation transformers; and proper interfacing of equipment racks to avoid ground loops using, among other things, telesoping shields, line level isolation transformers, single ended and balanced transmission lines. This will be accompanied by drawings and slides.
