The Influence of Parasitic Resonances on Compression Driver Loudspeaker Performance

An analysis of the effects of parasitic resonances associated with diaphragm assemblies used in compression driver loudspeakers on overall acoustic performance will be presented. Specifically, the effects of the dome resonance frequency, the surround resonance frequency and the effects of cavities under the surround and inside the driver will be discussed.
