In this paper, the properties and applications of a CCD-delay-line are discussed. It concerns a two-phase buried channel CCD, which was recently developed at the KUL-labs, Belgium. Attention is given to the typical driving circuits and the signal processing of such devices. The audio properties are discussed, just as the advantages and disadvantages in comparison with digital delay lines. Applications of these devices will be discussed for use in the audio field.
