Among today's advanced audio devices, a loudspeaker is considered to be at a less satisfactory level of physical characteristics. And, not many attempts have been made to produce a speaker system which can serve as a standard for reproducing sound. This paper describes a newly developed speaker system which provides criteria for evaluating other speaker systems or audio devices. The speaker system is compact compact and provides a nearly flat frequency response in a free field and a good input/output characteristic.
