A software system for sound syntheses has been developed and tested on a computer with peripheral A/D and D/A equipment. The design is based on music 5 principles simplified and limited to optimize to man/machine communication. The program is written in assembly language and is capable of synthesized stereophonic sound from an "orchestra" consisting of two "instruments" or more. Specification of all musical parameters is done by a graphical input device. While a teletype writer is used when sequencing the "minutes program" in order to collect all the desired values (waveforms, attack, decay, vibrato, tremolo, intensities and note parameters, etc.).
