Theoretical and Practical Aspects of Loudspeaker Bass Unit Design

Document Thumbnail

This paper presents a practical and useful approach to the problem of ensuring the optimization of the many variables present in base unit and cabinet design. A design procedure and computer program are derived from current theory. Examples of driver and cabinet design combinations are given for different requirements. The paper proves that for every cabinet a specially designed bass driver must be used for optimum response characteristics.
