Holographic Investigation of Speaker Vibrations

Document Thumbnail

Holography is a method of photography which does not record an actual image of the object, but instead a coherent beam of light reflected from the object is frozen into the photographic plate with the aid of a second beam of light coming directly from the laser. By using the second beam alone the light which originally came from the object may be unfrozen from the plate and reconstructed so exactly that it is indistinguishable from the original. It should be noted that you do not look at a hologram but you look through it to the reconstructed scene hanging in space behind it in true 3-D.
