Orthogonality and Walsh Functions

Document Thumbnail

The theory of Walsh-Fourier series has a long tradition in mathematics. However, it has been the advance of semiconductor technology that has produced the first really new, useful set of orthogonal functions. This paper presents some remarks on Walsh functions, starting with their most logical mathematical beginning, the representation of a signal in terms of a set of orthogonal functions.
