The design of audio oscillators for line-up broadcasting and sound recording leaves very much to be desired. Low distortion sine waves and fast final amplitude settling cannot normally be provided together and this often results in a "low distortion" switch in the final design. It was decided to break away from this design approach and employ a totally new concept using readily available state of the art.
