Recording studios, in their search for product perfection, placed great demands upon electrical and electronic engineering, particularly in so far as noise levels and interference are concerned. Of particular concern to the designer and installation engineer are eathing methods which can be employed to reduce the risk of interference and to produce reliability of installation in so far as the maintenance of low noise levels are concerned. The paper discusses methods which are currently being employed to reduce earthing problems and eradicate interference and extraneous signals from this source.
