The successful contemporary rock artist needs to hear and feel accurately what is going out to his audience. Neither amplification nor reinforcement suitably answer the artist's needs. Experiments with a mammoth system have revealed a number of significant parameters that need to be artistically considered as we approach the use of synthesizer-computer instruments "conducted" by artist-composers.
