A discussion of the two groups of broadcast cartridges; namely those with fixed guidance and those with adjustable guidance. The basic functions of a cartridge are enumerated and design targets for an ideal cartridge are suggested. Some practical suggestions for improving present and future cartridge operations are also discussed.
