The design parameters, performance characteristics and mechanical configurations are presented for a new series of aircraft communication devices utilizing noise-cancelling electret microphones. These devices include a lightweight headset, a handset and a handheld microphone. Test procedures for measurement of the "noise cancellation characteristic" are also discussed.
