A voltage controlled synthesizer programmer is described. The programmer digitizes synthesizer knob settings, stores them in a digital memory, converts them back to analog voltages, and applies them to a group of sample/hold circuits. Oscillator pitch, filter frequency and modulation, vibrato rate and amount, and envelope generator parameters are stored in groups to allow numerous synthesizer "presets." Application to a voltage controlled polyphonic synthesizer is described.
