Scale modeling and near field measurements require special type of acoustic sources. Despite the omnidirectional directivity patterns usually smallest possible size is required to limit the multiscattering problem between the source and measured objects. In the given state of art there are only few solutions possible to apply in this kind of measurements. We will present constructions used in Department of Mechanics and Vibroacoustic in AGH, divided between specific functions like scale modeling reverberation time measurements or sound insulation measurements and near-field HRTF measurements. Different parameters used for assessment of miniature omnidirectional sources will be discussed, presenting new approach for design and verification of this type of measurement sources.
