Design of an Audio Program Selector in a Magnetic Tape Recorder

The technology of magnetic tape recorders has improved so much in recent years. We have seen the evolution of multi-channel operation, ultra high speed recording and reproduction, and various data processing or storage recorders. The fascination of magnetic tape recorder prompted the author to study creative design on a tape recorder under Professor John E. Arnold at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
