Parameter measurements on a dozen 4 to 6 inch loudspeaker drivers show that most have a larger BL product than needed for -acoustic suspension- cabinets. Applying the synthesis methods given by Thiele shows that several of these drivers are well suited for vented box baffles. The design and performance of a loudspeaker system with a 15 liter cabinet size is discussed. Excellent frequency response (at moderate power level) has been achieved in the bass and mid-frequency range.
