Additional information on the use and application of A.N. Thiele's alighments for the vented loudspeaker cabinet is presented. A rewritten alignment table which has all the frequency terms normalized to the speaker resonance frequency is included. Computer run frequency responses for all the alignments are displayed along with a new fourth order Chebyshev alignment beyond No. 9. Sensitivity functions for the cabinet output with respect to variaous system parameters (fb, fs, Qt, Vb) are derived and plotted. Methods of auxiliary filter synthesis are discussed including an equalization method to compensate for incorrect speaker Qt using a single second-order peak-dip filter. a simple cabinet tuning procedure using computer printed tables is also presented. A possible new set of small box low frequency alignments requiring comparatively high amounts of auxiliary filter boost at the box resonance frequency are suggested.
