A method for measuring frequency response, efficiency and distortion of loudspeakers in a reverberation chamber has been developed. By locating the loudspeaker under measurement in the same way near relative narrow hard surfaces as it is intended to be placed when used in an ordinary living room, correlation between registered physical quantities and perceived sound quality will be better. The method is used for the purpose of better consumer information. The work has been sponsored by the Swedish consumer council.
