The new worldwide adopted IEC flutter measurement standard has one practical difficulty when reading flutter measurement results: the unsteady indication. For better determination, the deletion of random peaks according to a Gaussian weighting is suggested as well as the fixed indication of the results for a defined time window. The possible circuit layout will be discussed, and the measuring results will be compared with readings on conventional flutter meters.
