This paper describes a recording console that combines unusual flexibility and ease of operation with numerous innovations in hardware and packaging. Included are 16 input channels, each with compression, equalization, and pan pot; six submasters with pan pots; 8 output channels; 4 reverb channels; and a flexible mix-down monitor system. The compressors are unique, the linear faders represent the first use of conductive plastic resistance material in an audio system, all active elements are operational amplifiers, and the entire system is packaged in a 5 foot by 30 inch table top cabinet.
