The ballistics of a typical graphic level recorder preclude its use for time series which include impulsive phenomena. CBS Laboratories has developed a unique attachment for level recorders which allows an accurate recording of the peak levels of transient data. In addition, the apparatus provides for adjustment of the effective ballistics of the chart recorder pen to simulate that of sound level meters, or other devices. Finally, the apparatus provides a convenient method of producing logarithmic plots of D.C. data.
