New Developments and Improvements in Soundfield Microphone Technology

Document Thumbnail

The arrival of digital recording media has served to confirm the accuracy of the phase and frequency characteristics of the spherical three dimensional capsule array of coincident capacitor capsules. The Mark IV microphone has improved low noise capsule amplifiers to match the digital era together with more sophisticated controls. The new system is a cost effective truly coincident stereophonic microphone having the usual variable parameters, while retaining the ability to record in B-Format to allow postproduction steering of all microphone angles and position.
