This paper details two programs developed for the design of high-performance filters required to perform anti-aliasing and smoothing functions in analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion. The first performs the synthesis operations, with a view to construction in active or passive network form. The second, of which there are two versions, permits analysis and simulation of the networks obtained, enabling allowance to be made for sources of errors frequency encountered (component dispersion, losses, etc.). The programs were written in advanced BASIC on a Hewlett-Packard 9826 computer.
