Single point microphone measurements in enclosed spaces lack sufficient stability to be useful for sound system equalization (above the Schroeder frequency). A new measurement technique for use in automobiles was developed to circumvent this problem. This paper will describe the problems encountered with single point measurements and the results obtained with the new system.
