On the Replacement of T.H.D. as the Standard Figure of Merit

Document Thumbnail

Mathematical analysis of an S type curve reveals a second fundamental component changing at a cubic rate. Representation of these components and the d.c. components will, like T.H.D., allow representation for a single sine wave input. These components might allow an improved subjective relationship to be predicted and an improved figure of merit.
