The radio coverage of a major news event is an interesting application of audio system design. The coverage of the inauguration of a President of the United States presented unique circumstances which were met with unique engineering solutions which ranged from techniques used in multi-track recording to radio frequency circuits. The systems approach utilized by NBC News is described.
