A simple transparent template laid over an architectural plan drawing shows required angular coverage, loudspeaker aim angles and variations of SPL due to distance. Then, after tentative choice of loudspeakers and aiming, the resulting relative SPL at various seats may be plotted quickly if the dispersion characteristics of the loudspeakers are known.
