Measuring and Equalizing Dynamic Driver Complex Impedance

Document Thumbnail

A microcomputer program is described, which optimizes the well-known electrical impedance equivalent circuits, of a dynamic driver and its enclosure, to best fit measured magnitude of impedance data. This equivalent circuit can be used to compute an approximation to driver phase of impedance, for use in passive network design. The program can also be used to design optimized driver impedance equalization networks. The effects of driver impedance equalization, are briefly considered.
