Following the completion of the installation of the sound system in the Harris County Domed Stadium, broad-band equalization procedures were begun in order to bring the response in the seating areas to the specifications. Principal requirements covered acoustic frequency response and seat-to-seat variations in sound pressure level. the initial equalization consisted primarily of bringing up the upper high-frequency response, reducing response between 500 cps and 900 cps, and setting down the region above the 500 cps crossover by 4 dB. RLC equalization was performed in order to accomplish this.
