The author has been associated with the operation of a 6,000 seat multipurpose auditorium for the past twenty-five years. During this interval, there has been ample opportunity to determine the desirability of having a method for quick and easy adjustment of the acoustical environment to provide more nearly optimum listening pleasure for the widely varying kinds of program material that must be presented.
