Improved Measurement of Loudspeaker Parameters

Document Thumbnail

Application of the methods discussed in 1969 has shown the need for several improvements. An oscilloscope has been added to the measurement equipment to display phase angle of the loudspeaker driving point impedance. The phase data along with an improved computer processing program yield information about suspension nonlinearity, magnetic field distortion, and voice coil inductance as well as higher accuracy in the measurement of the other loudspeaker parameters.
