Instrumentation Trends for Noise Reduction Work, As Seen by a Mechanical Engineer

Document Thumbnail

We need instruments which tell us not only how much noise a machine generates, but why, when, and where. Like our human senses, such instruments must simultaneously process at least two signals to extract information in the space and time aas well as frequency and phase domains. The type of signals and their processing depend on the application. To build up economical systems, we need modular instruments and more basic training.
