Any system proposed for international standardization of stereophonic transmissions should be of such a nature as to permit, without degradation, the international relaying of stereophonic programs. The paper, which describes the relaying of stereophonic programs by the use of the -Relay II- Communications Satellite, demonstrates the exceptional quality of the U.S. pilot-tone system.
