Presto is an interface designed to address professional recording, post-production, live music, and broadcast requirements. It can transmit bi-directional multi-channel audio, MIDI, video, Ethernet, and machine synchronization over a single cable. Presto scales from a less expensive copper-cable version to fiber-optic versions that can transmit more than a thousand audio channels over a distance of up to 80 kilometers without repeaters. Delay and jitter are minimized by synchronizing transmitters, receivers, and analog converters. Equipment can be networked using automated patch bays. Studios throughout the world can share audio in real time.
