The paper reports on the applications of spatial sound reproduction in immersive virtual environments realized with the CyberStage audio-visual display and the sound rendering system designed for it. A survey of the system's architecture and its hardware and software components is given. The different sound rendering methods employed are discussed, along with a wide range of applications realized with the system.
